our summer so far...

So sadly we are already one week into our summer break.

Here is a picture summary of what we've been doing so far.

 Jackson's first trampoline experience.
He seemed to like it, or maybe it was just all the pine needles he tried to eat.

I know it looks like he is throwing a fit, but that is actually his crazy, super silly face he makes now.
I can already tell he's going to be a goober!

I  love this picture because it seems like they're having a very serious discussion.

His hands, knees, and feet were completely black.

We LOVE spaghetti!

Poser!!

Love that freckle face!!

My attempt at making homemade white sausage gravy.  It actually tasted really good.  Who says white gravy has to be white anyway?! :)

I know this makes my summer so far seem like super fun and totally relaxing, but it really has been an adjustment.  Jackson is at a really hard age right now.  He is almost 10 months old, but thinks he is 2 years old.  He is into everything and needs my almost constant attention.  Not to mention he hasn't been taking very good naps, which make for a long tiring day.

He's also started out the week with an ear infection and hand, foot and mouth disease.  For those of you who don't know what that is, basically it's a virus babies and kids tend to pick up from touching germy things and putting germy things in mouth.  You know, like a 10 month old who crawls around all over our floors with all the germs we have picked up on our shoes throughout the day.   He's better, but now his nose is running like a faucet.  It's always something.

Despite all that, I really am happy that it's summer!!

I've been a tad obsessed with cleaning the house, since I pretty much don't deep cleaning during school months.  Here is what I've checked off my list so far...

1. I have completely caught up on Laundry. (this won't last long with 5 people living here)
2.  I have cleaned all kids bedrooms and swept floors. (still need to mop them)
3.  I mopped both bathroom floors/cleaned counters and toilets.
4.  I cleaned out and organized the laundry room. (it was bad)
5.  I cleaned off the top of the refrigerator. (you know all that junk that starts to accumulate up there)
6.  I cleaned out and reorganized all the drawers in our kitchen island.
7.  I checked off a few things from my bridal shower checklist, including addressing and mailing invitations. (with the help of my mom and sister)
8.  I cleaned out and reorganized the food pantry.
9.  I swept off the trampoline.

Happy Summer to ya!!!
