I'm still here.

I know it seems like I've disappeared off the face of the earth, but I'm still here.

I have tons of things to blog about I just have no mojo to get started.

-my sisters wedding was wonderful, despite the hurricane like weather that came through in the middle of the day. I will do my best to do a special post about the wedding, but to be honest I didn't really take many pictures. Whoops!

-tomorrow is the last day of a two week math workshop I've been attending. We met from 8-2:30 for ten days. It may sound like a drag, but I really loved it! I'm teaching math this year for the first time, and this workshop has given me more confidence and an excitement about changing subjects.

- I've gone to my classroom three times so far, and every time I leave I feel like I have more left to do than when I came. The problem is, I can't ever just stay as long as I need to get things accomplished. I have three kids and I need/ want to spend time with them. It's the eternal struggle of working mothers.

-I'm fixing to get my healthy eating and exercising back on. I'm so disgusted with myself lately. My goal for the summer was to lose 20 pounds. I've gained four pounds!!

There are no pictures in this post, and I hate that. I feel like every post should have at least one picture, but right now this is better than the nothing I've posted in the last three weeks!

If you haven't already, don't count me out. I might not post as often, but I still get on and read yalls blogs.

Summer is quickly coming to an end for me, so I'm going to do my best to enjoy what I have left!!!! I hope you do the same.

Make it Monday!

I'm back for another edition of .........Make it Monday!

I'm linking up with Ashley at Polluck Potluck, to share with the world what I"ve made recently. I'm really super sort of a little proud of this little ditty.

I started out with this blank bulletine board.

I added a little bit of this Ivy Leaf spray paint

1 coat = Not enough obviously

2 coats = still not enough

1 whole entire can = still not enough

I ran to Walmart, bought another can of Ivy Leaf paint, and a can of purple (I don't know it's name) and finished up my project.

Ta Da!!!

It's a bulletine board for my classroom. My plan is to pin up missed assignments and test, that way the kids can see easily if they have make up work, and I also won't forget about it.

{Random Photo Dump}

Wow, I can't believe how long I've gone without posting.  Things have been seriously busy around here, but in a fun way.  My plan here is to throw a ton of pictures at you, so be prepared.

Here goes....

1.  Austin being silly, wearing Jackson's winter hat.

2. Jackson playing like a big boy in the mall play area.

 3.  Austin said "Cheese me in front of the train!"  cheese=take a picture

 4. Austin riding the train through the mall.

5.  Abigail at the movies to see Brave.  We really liked the movie.  It was a bit more serious than we thought it would be, but still good.

6.  Austin at movies.  My kids are so good at the movies.

 7.  Me and Abigail in our 4th of July get ups.

 8.  All our yummy patriotic desserts.

 9.  The family playing corn hole.

 10.  Abigail and friend Logan.  They played together like besties.

 11.  Dad's firework stash.  He was going to get more, but he said he ran out of money.

 12.  Jack Jack after the big firework show.  It literally blew him away.  He didn't really like them very much.

 13.  Abigail and my Mom.  This was the first holiday celebration at my parents new house.  First of many awesome memories.

 14.  Abigail watching the smoke bombs.  Well actually not watching!?

 15.  Sparkler time!!  Kelsie's face cracks me up!  She looks scared for her life.

 16.  We had a good crowd of people.  Grant, my soon to be brother-in-law's family came over to celebrate.

 17.  Kelsie's pinterest inspired dipped pretzel sticks.  They were yummy!

 18.  Austin with his sparkler!

 19.  My three kiddos.  Not easy to get a picture with Jackson in it.

 20.  This is as good as it gets!

Wow! 20 pictures.
Cuddos to you if you actually looked at them all.

I know you probably enjoyed how they so obviously weren't posted in order.

They go from daytime pictures to night pictures then back to daytime pictures again.

Bad blogger!!

Well I now feel a little better about myself and my blog!

Hopefully it won't be another week before I update again!

Crying it out update

We started letting Jackson cry it out a few weeks ago.  You can read about night 1 here, and nights 2 and 3 here.

Well to be honest, I'm not sure we did this right.  For the first week or so we would feed him and then lay him down sleepy and he would cry for about 15-20 minutes and then fall asleep.  It was working really well.  The part that wasn't improving was his night time waking.  He would still wake up around 1am or 2am and fuss for over an hour until we gave him a bottle.

I know, I know he should be able to make it all night without a bottle, but he's only 10.5 months old and I feel like if he wakes up he just might be hungry so I'm gonna give him a bottle.  We don't get him out of his bed, we just let him drink it himself in his bed and he falls right back to sleep and will sleep until morning.

Last night was different.  He slept until 5am, I gave him his bottle and then he slept until 7:30.  I know I've probably created a new bad habit of letting him fall asleep drinking his bottle, but I don't really care right now.

The way I see it, he never would take a pacifier so he needs something to soothe himself.  I'll probably regret it in a few months when we try and get rid of the bottle, but for now this is working for us.  We are all getting a good nights rest and we're all happy.

This may sound bad, but I am soooo relieved to not be rocking him to sleep anymore.  Rocking him was like a wrestling match. I would seriously break a sweat, while trying to keep him in a cradled position to rock him to sleep.  I'm so thankful to be past that stage of his life.

So anyway that's how it's going for now.  Of course, I'll keep ya'll updated on any changes.

And just for your viewing pleasure, I'll send you off with a little bit of cuteness!!!

Have a GREAT day!!
