A bunch of random things

-So far I am totally impressed with all the singers on American Idol this year.  If you're new here you can read my previous American Idol posts by clicking here.  For those of you who don't know, Joshua Ledet is from the little city of Westlake, Louisiana, which happens to be where I live.  This small town is totally pumped up!!  I was really sad about Colton Dixon leaving last week. I loved how he sang his going away song.  He was singing straight to God and let everyone know it.  What a great witness!!

-I think I am going to start Insanity again in two weeks.  I'm planning on waiting until after my last week of duty for the year.  During duty week I have to be at school so early that I don't have time to workout before school.  I want to really get my butt in gear for the last two months before the Kelsie's wedding.

-I went to the gym in the evening instead of the morning like I usually do and I felt really uncomfortable.  I guess evening time is when all the serious weight lifter guys come.  There was a ton of them and they were hogging all the machines.  Every time I got on a machine I felt like someone was waiting for me to get off so they could use it.

- Brent started his new job at Tractor Supply on Monday last week.  He is loving it!!  I am so happy for him.  He has worked so many different retail jobs and this is the first one where he's selling things he actually likes and enjoys.  The pay is not awesome, but he is happy and home earlier in the evenings.  The kids and I are enjoying having him around more.

-We have made the hard decision to put our house up for sale and downsize.  We really want to pay off debt and get our finances where they should be, so we are making the tough choice.  In the long run I know it will pay off.  One of our prayers right now is for God to guide us through all this and that we will give him glory through it all.  This will take a lot of faith and patience, but I know we can do it.

American Idol top 8

I have watched American Idol off and on for the past 10 seasons and I have to say that these season 11 contestants are AMAZING!  Seriously they are all so good.  Of course I have my favorites.  Here is my rundown of the final 8 contestants on American Idol.  I will go from my least favorite to my top pick.

8. DeAndre Brackensick
I'm sorry but he is my least favorite.  I don't deny he is talented, but he just doesn't do it for me.

7. Elise Testone
I like Elise but she is my #7 pick.  This just goes to show how talented this entire group is when I really like my 7th ranking.

6.  Skylar Lane-I love her spitfire country twang.

5. Hollie Cavanagh - I've always loved her, but she is very young.

4. Jessica Sanchez- Probably the best singer on the show, but I feel like she doesn't show much personality.  She is a favorite to win this thing, but for me personally I need more than just a good voice.

3. Colton Dixon-Each week I like him more and more.  I REALLY love how verbal he is about his faith and how glorifying God is his number one priority.

2.  Phillip Phillips- Such a true artist.  He's only in this because of his love of music.  I love how passionate he is about staying true to the music and not changing who he is for the competition.

1. Joshua Ledet- I might be a tad bit bias, considering he lives in my town, but I really do think he has what it takes to win the whole thing.

This is by far the most talented group in American Idol history.  It could be any of these final 8 in the finale.  Keep voting for Josh!!!

Midweek Confessions

Linking up again for my weekly therapeutic confessions!!
here we go....

-I am really scared to admit this..... I didn't vote for Joshua Ledet last week on American Idol.  In case you didn't know, Joshua Ledet is from my hometown.   People of Westlake, please don't hate me. I didn't do it on purpose.  I was home alone with my three babies and after the show we did baths and I put them to bed, with every intention of voting when I was finished. After an hour of bedtime routine, all three of my kids were in bed and snoozing, so I decided to treat myself to a nice hot bath and by the time I remembered to vote, it was too late.  I promise, promise, promise I will vote tonight many many times.  I can't help but feel it is my fault for Josh being in the bottom six.  I am seriously contemplating taking this off right now... but it's too good of a confession.  Sorry Josh!  Please forgive me Westlake!!!  I might be run out of town!

-I just realized I am  really nervous about commenting on people's blog.  I guess I'm worried about sounding stupid.  I also tend to think that people commenting on other people's blogs are all friends in real life and really don't care what I have to say.  I know that is not true, because people have commented on my blog that I don't know and I LOVED it.  It's an insecurity I need to get over.

-I am a nervous wreck because my 7 month old son is already doing things like this.
This is scary right?  He is going to have so many bumps and bruises before he turns one.  This is my last baby and I didn't want him to do things so fast.   I might have to invest in a padded room for him.   What can I do to keep my baby a baby?

American Idol Top 13

Did I call it or what?  If you read my previous American Idol post, you would know that all of my top 5 picks made it into the final 13.  Yay!!!

Of course, i am most excited about our hometown American Idol, Josh Ledet!!!
He was amazing this week.  He didn't even seem nervous or out of his element.  Josh's hometown is very proud and can't wait to see how far he goes. (all the way)

Heejun, the comedian, made it through as well.  He is my next favorite after Josh.  He can definitely entertain.  I loved the fact that he put so much thought into his song, Angels Among Us.  He is funny, but I believe he is taking this competition very seriously.

Easy on the eyes-Philip Phillips also made it through.  I really love the way he sings.  I don't just like him because of his looks.
Tall Shannon made it through.  I really like her, but I don't know how far she will go.  She is very young.

Jessica was sick, but still rocked her performance.  She is probably one of  the most talented in the whole group.

I am adding Hollie to my favorites.  I didn't really even remember her, but I thought she did great last night and could really go far in this competition.

I predict these to be in the final 6.  We shall see and of course I will post updates.

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FOR JOSHUA LEDET AFTER THE SHOW ON WEDNESDAY!

American Idol: Josh Ledet

Can you believe one of the American Idol contestants in the top 24 is from little ole' Westlake, Louisiana.

Joshua Ledet is a graduate of Westlake High School.  I don't actually know him.  He is quite a bit younger than me, but my sister went to school with him.  She said she can remember him at school, singing all the time.  From what I hear from everyone that knows him, is that he is really a nice guy and an awesome singer, which I now know from watching the show.  My favorite performance of his so far was "Jar of Hearts" in Hollywood.  That was already one of my favorite songs.

Josh has consistently wowed the judges at every performance.

Everyone in our small city is super excited and can't wait to vote for Josh next week.  If you don't already have a favorite, please consider voting for Josh Ledet next week.  Your home town is behind you Josh!!! Good luck!!

Ok, that being said I also have to mention my other favorites in the top 24:

Heejun Han: I love his funny, quiet personality.  He cracks me up.

Phillip Phillips: I love the husky tone to his voice.  Plus he's not bad on the eyes, if you know what I mean.

Shannon Magrane:  She is one of the younger ones, but you wouldn't know it by the way she sings.  She sort of has an old fashion sound to her voice.

Jessica Sanchez:  She is also very young, but every time she sings I get the chill bumps on my arms.

Of course my loyalties wll stay with Josh.  These are just my backups!!  Don't forget to vote.  I think the guys sing Tuesday, and the girls are on Wednesday.

Did you hear they are bringing back one guy that they cut?  Who do you think it is?  I really hope it's not the cowboy!  Whoops was that mean?
