Obsessions {June 22}

I've been extra pumped about this weeks obsessions link up over as Saige Wisdom.

Why.... do you ask???

Well.... because there is a giveaway involved. Yay!! I thought I would post the rules so that you have NO excuse not to join in. You MUST!!!

1) befriend Saige Wisdom on Google Friend Connect (if you haven`t already done so)

2) find a little something on Etsy.com - for under $50 - that you simply cannot live without.

3) create an obsessions post that names at least 5 things you`re lovin` these days. One of these list items will include a photo + mini-write up about your must-have Etsy find...

4) publish these obsessions on your blog; you can do this ANYTIME between now and the contest`s closing date - June 29th - just make sure your post features her button, you can find that on her blog.

5) starting on June 22nd LINK UP, creep on the blogs of fellow participants & keep those fingers triple crossed cause she just might be buying YOU your Etsy treasure!

6) oh and if her Facebook fan page gets more than 200 likes #dreambig before the June 29th deadline, one random `liker` is gonna get $20 to spend on whatevs...

the fine print:
* Etsy finds must be under $50 USD including shipping
* link up closes Friday, June 29th at noon (my time)
* winner will be announced Saturday, June 30th
* there needs to be 20 link ups in order for this thing to happen
* one entry per blog

OK so here we go with my current obsessions....

1. Sister Necklace
Let's go ahead and knock out my etsy find. I've been dying to get something like this for my sister as a wedding gift. I found it at Jewelry by Jakemi.

SISTER Definition Vintage Dictionary Pendant Necklace
This necklace is perfect. She loves vintage things, in fact vintage is the theme of her wedding. She is also an English major and would love a piece of a vintage dictionary. Her fiance actually cut out a hole in a dictionary and put her engagement ring in there for her to open when he proposed to her. It was very cute. It's only $12.00, but I don't care. This is what I'm obsessed with.

2. Julian Smith YouTube videos.
If you like Saturday Night Live type skits then you will love Julian Smith. He makes really funny mostly musical videos for you tube. Here is one of my all time favorites.

Here's my newest favorite. Just be warned that I sort of have a man's sense of humor, so some of you might think these are just stupid, but they keep me amused for hours.

3. French Toast!!!!!
Thank You God for helping us learn to make this wonderfully delicious breakfast food.

4. Selling our House
I'm pretty much losing hope, but I'm trying to stay positive. I think I just need to stop thinking about it.

5. Keeping the House clean for showings!
Another thing I think I need to let go of. I'm gonna have to admit myself to the loony bin, if I keep it up. There is no way to keep your house clean all the time when you have three kids.

Alrighty, now it's your turn to link up if you haven't already.

Obsessions

I'm linking up with Sara over at Saige Wisdom for another Obsession link up!!  Come on and link up!!

Current Obsessions

**Cleaning my house**
I know this sounds crazy, but I pretty much don't clean my house all school year so you can imagine how bad things get by the time summer break rolls around.  I always do this and then regret it, because I would rather be enjoying my summer break by doing absolutely NOTHING!!

**Bridal Shower Planning**
If you read my previous post you know what I'm talking about.  I've getting wedding on the brain.

**A new computer**
We can't afford one right now, but I'm dying to get one.  I thought I would rely on my school laptop during the summer, but of course it is also acting up.  Another reason my blog might slowly go down toilet.

**Selling our house**
We've had our house on the market for about a month now and not one single bite.  We even lowered the price by quite a bit, but still nothing.  Uggghhh

Wow, so my obsessions this week were pretty depressing.  Sorry for being a Debbie Downer!!

Obsessions

I'm linking up with one of my favorite bloggy friends-- Saige Wisdom-- to reveal what I've been obsessing over as of late...

SaigeWisdom

I'm not real happy with my obsession post.   I was wracking my brain for things that I am obsessed with and this is all I could come up with.  Please don't unfollow me after you read my pathetic obsessions.  I promise to do better next time!  :)

**I couldn't live without my turbie twist hair towels.  I bought mine from QVC a few years back and to say I love them would be an understatement. Before the twisty towel I would wrap my hair up in a big old bath towel and it would always fall.  I found these and would never go back.  I use them twice before I throw them in the laundry, so that is another plus.

**I'm obsessed with running.  I know, crazy right.  Yes I have been trying to run a few times a week and I really feel so awesome after I run.  I've been expanding my running routes, which always keeps things interesting.  One of my biggest motivations was the fact that I bought some $80 running shoes.  I'm trying to get my moneys worth out of them.

**My running shoes.  I think I'm committing some serious fashion faux pas, but I wear my new shoes about 5 times  a week.  They're cute, they're comfortable, what else could you ask for.

***Lastly, I'm obsessed with counting down the days until Summer break!  It can't get here fast enough.
  5 days and counting...

Happy weekend to ya!

Obsessions {April 27}

This is my second link up today!  My first was with From My Grey Desk for High Five for Friday.  If you are looking for that post you can click here.

For this post I am linking up with Saige Wisdom to share my Obsessions.

* I am really obsessed with getting a nice new camera.  Especially now that I'm really getting the hang of this blogging thing.  I have noticed how many bloggers have really nice cameras and how much better their pictures are than mine.   The Canon EOS Rebel is what I have my eye on.

*I'm also obsessed with fudge rounds right now.  We have some leftover ones in my class room from testing week and I eat one a day.  They are crazy good.  Oh and there not the little normal sized ones.  I've been eating the big boys.   I have a love/hate relationship with Little Debbie snack cakes.

*I don't want to be a copycat, but I'm also obsessed with blogging.  I've only been doing it for about a year and it takes some time to figure things out, but I would say I am on my computer way too much these days.  Now that I have 12 followers (Go Me!)  I am starting to feel like I have an obligation to my few readers, and it's not the bad sort of obligation.  I want to make sure they don't regret choosing to follow me.

Obsessions!!

Today I am revealing my obsessions and linking up over at Saige Wisdom.
-Pinterest: I know this is every one's obsession right now, but it really has changed the way I look at things.  I have made a vow to stop pinning and start doing.  I have been trying to do one pinterest thing a week and then post about it every Friday. So far so good.  It's been a great motivator for me.  You can check out what I have done so far by clicking here.  Don't get too excited.  I usually pick pretty easy and simple things.

-Circus peanuts: I don't know what it is about circus peanuts, but when I start eating them I can't stop.  I will make myself sick off of them. I need some self control.
Circus Marshmallow Peanuts

-Hunger Games: My sister and I went and saw the movie at midnight last night and it was awesome.  Totally worth the exhaustion I felt at work today.  The bad thing is that I have a 7 month old that will most likely not let me catch up on my missing Zs.  I think I will go see it again!  I CAN'T wait for the next one!!!

They had a photo booth set up in the lobby of our theatre.

-Spring weather:  I feel so rejuvenated when I walk outside and feel the sun and see all the blooming flowers.  It's so refreshing.  Unfortunately in the south we only get a few weeks of this, if we're lucky, before the torturous humidity hits us.  I bet it would be nice to live somewhere that actualy has four seasons.
